Meet Steven Visser

Steven Visser is a domestic relations senior associate attorney, who before joining the team at Ascent Legal Group, spent over 20 years as a family law attorney in private practice serving clients in Colorado Springs and throughout El Paso County. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School of Law where he graduated cum laude and also holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Indiana University. He brings a compassionate yet results-driven approach to complex and emotionally charged legal matters, helping individuals and families navigate some of the most difficult times in their lives.

With a deep understanding of Colorado family law and a commitment to personalized representation, Steve works closely with each client to develop tailored legal strategies that protect their rights, their children, and their future. Outside of the office, Steve is an avid scuba diver and enjoys being outdoors and engaging in activities such as cycling and hiking. This helps him maintain a healthy work-life balance and reminds him of the importance of family, which is at the heart of his work.
